The best thing in browser game is that it’s not platform dependent.
If you build a game for Windows, it can only be played in Windows. If you build a game for Android, it can only be played in Android. Modern game engines can build game for most of available platforms, but developers have to distribute different application files (sometimes different stores).
But if you build a game with browser support (Example: WebGL in Unity), it can run on all popular browsers (Well, ‘most of’ popular browsers).
And no downloading and installing are required.
This is why I think browser games are the next-gen thing.
But currently browsers don’t support beautiful 3D things (Such as Ray Tracing… lol)
I hope browser game get greater and more performant in the future.
